Ham Loaf
A Pennsylvania Dutch Specialty
Recipe Serves: 5
Level of Complexity: Moderate
Ingredients: 

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1-1/2 lbs Cooked Ground Ham
  • 1/2 lb Ground Pork

Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350*F.
  2. Beat eggs and milk.
  3. Add bread crumbs and pepper.
  4. Add pork and ham, mix well.
  5. Put in a shallow baking pan and shape into loaf form.
  6. Bake at 350*F for 30 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, combine glaze and pour over ham loaf.
  8. Continue baking another 40 minutes or until done.


Ingredients for Glaze

  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Water
